The wastewater treatment plant for the 6th of October City is located approximately 25 km west of Cairo and treats the wastewater of the 6th of October City settlement. The project was awarded in September 2019 to FINE PEAK and went into partial operation in June 2022. It is separated into 3 parallel treatment lines, each with a capacity of 50,000 m3/day. The scope of FINE PEAK included the Hydraulic & Process design check works, supply, and installation of the electromechanical. The plant comprises also full tertiary treatment with slow sand filters.
