Wastewater Treatment Plants

The domestic Sewage is collected from the area through a gravitational network and then pumped through the main pumping station which pumps the flow to the treatment plant.
The treatment works are based on the activated sludge process.

The contract comprises the supply and erection, testing and handing over in perfect working condition the mechanical and electrical equipment for Damanhour Sewage Treatment Works. 
The contract also includes the supervision of maintenance and guarantee for a period of one year of the whole work covered by the contract.
 

The parts of the treatment plant which consists mainly of the following steps: 

1. Inlet and quieting chamber.

2. Mechanical and manual Screening (Available from the first stage):

• Manual coarse screens.
• Mechanical screens, coarse and fine, with rakes.
• Gates.

3. Aerated grit chambers (Available from the first stage):

• Grit scraper.
• Submersible sand pumps.
• Grit elevator tanks.
• Separation system.
• Air blower.

4. Primary Settling Tanks:

• Scrapers.
• Electrical equipment.

5. Aeration Tanks:

• Surface aerators.
• Electrical equipment.

6. Final Settling Tanks:

• Scrapers.
• Electrical equipment.

7. Return sludge pumping station:

• Screw pumping units to return the sludge from final sedimentation tanks to the rna1n aeration tanks
• Electrical equipment

8. excess sludge pumping station:

• Submersible pumping units to lift the excess sludge to the primary sedimentation tanks distribution chamber
• Electrical equipment.

9. Sludge Pumping Stations:

• Sludge pumping units of vertical close-coupled type dry installed, to pump primary sludge from primary sedimentation tanks to the thickeners, complete with pipes, valves and accessories (Available from the first stage).
• Sludge pumping units of vertical close-coupled type to pump the thickened sludge to drying beds (3 units are available from the first stage and only one pump is supplied under this stage).
• Supernatant pumping units of the submersible type installed to pump supernatant liquid to the quietening chamber, complete with pipes, valves and accessories.

10. Sludge Thickeners:

• Racking and scraping mechanism.
• Electrical equipment.

11. Effluent Chlorination(Avai/ab/e from first stage):

• Chlorinator.
• Piping System.
• Control Unit.

12. Piping and gates.
