Wastewater collected from the city & ( domestic & industrial type) is pumped to the treatment works, where it is treated by "Activated sludge" processes, using the system of compressed air diffuser supported with submersible homogenizers.
The treatment works (Extension Phase) include the following:
Quieting (Reception) chamber.
Screening chambers (3 units)
Screenings washing, press, and bagging unit.
Grit removal chambers (4 units)
Compressed air station for grit chambers.
Primary settling tanks (2 tanks)
Aeration tanks (4 tanks)
Final settling tanks (4 tanks)
Chlorination tanks
Pump station for return activated sludge and excess sludge
Air blowers station for aeration tanks
Sludge thickeners (2tanks)
Pumping station for thickened sludge and supernatant
Six Sludge drying beds
Two Power Houses
Workshop, stores.
